Iguana hunting in Florida (ft. RapidFire Rachel)

“I got to go with them to Florida on an iguana hunt, which was incredible.  It was probably one of the most fun hunting experience I’ve ever had. It’s hunting in the canals in Fort Lauderdale with air rifles. We were with Python Cowboy and then a bunch of folks with Brownells. And it’s like high energy. A lot going on. The dogs are jumping in the water to go get the iguanas that you shot because you do have to retrieve them. It’s not just getting rid of them. But iguanas are an invasive species and I think they reproduce something like over a million a year and they’re ruining, obviously, vegetation in Florida and messing up bird wildlife and infrastructure because they burrow underneath roads and other stuff.” — Rachel Stroud, aka RapidFire Rachel
