CFACT’s Gabriella Hoffman, host of the District of Conservation podcast and Conservation Nation YouTube series, sat down with American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) TV to discuss overreach and abuse by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Hoffman delivered a presentation to ALEC’s States and Nation Policy Summit regarding the SEC’s new requirements for ranchers and farmers to report on Scope 3 emissions standards. Hoffman argues that the SEC has no jurisdiction over reporting requirements for ranchers and farmers and that this move represents a gross overreach of government authority over those who grow our food.
