“One of the principles of Holistic Management is observation. So, for instance, in our grazing plan, which is based on a holistic model, you adapt that to the conditions where, for instance, right now. It looks very lush here, and it always was green…We’ve had very fortunate rains in the last two and a half months, for almost three years before that. ” — San Pedro Ranch co-owner Joe Fitzsimons (recorded in August 2021)

In Episode 280 of District of Conservation, Gabriella publishes her conversation withJoe Fitzsimons, San Pedro Ranch co-owner and 2021 Texas Leopold Conservation Award winner. Originally recorded in August 2021. The episode coincides with her newly-published Conservation Nation report from Texas.
