As more evidence mounts that the COVID-19 virus originated in a laboratory in China rather than a wet market, President Biden seems determined to bury the probe into its origins.

In response, Judicial Watch just has filed Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuits against the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and the State Department demanding information concerning the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the origins of the SARS-CoV-2 virus be released to them in response to the FOIA request they filed.

The lawsuit was filed against the Office of the Director of National Intelligence after they refused to respond to a March 11, 2021 FOIA request for all reports and records of communication relating to the Wuhan Institute of Virology and/or the origins of the SARS-CoV-2 virus dating back to June 1, 2017.

Moreover, the American Center For Law and Justice (ACLJ) filed a separate FOIA request on behalf of the American people demanding to know why the Biden Administration is so hellbent on shutting down the investigation into COVID's origins.

A Judicial Watch lawsuit last week unearthed HHS records revealing that the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), which is headed by Dr. Anthony Fauci, granted $826,277 to the Wuhan Institute of Virology for bat coronavirus research from 2014 to 2019. The records include an email from Peter Daszak, president of EcoHealth Alliance, detailing the Fauci agency's contact with the Wuhan Institute of Virology:

NIAID has been funding coronavirus work in China for the past 5 years … (1R01Al110964: “Understanding the Risk of Bat Coronavirus Emergence”). That’s now been renewed … Collaborators include Wuhan Institute of Virology (currently working on the nCoV), and Ralph Baric [of the University of North Carolina].

Previously, the ACLJ reported that when Mike Pompeo was Secretary of State, he spearheaded an official federal inquiry into the origins of the COVID-19 virus. However, after being briefed on the State Department's draft findings in February and March of this year, the Biden Administration quickly shut down that inquiry. The official rationale given by the Biden team was that doubts were raised regarding the authenticity of the investigation's results and if it was an inefficient use of resources.

The ACLJ, on the other hand, reports that the Biden Administration was displeased with what the State Department had uncovered. What a surprise, given that Joe Biden spent his presidential campaign defending China and downplaying the threat it poses to America.

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a statement that Judicial Watch "[doesn't] trust either the Biden administration or the Deep State to voluntarily come clean on COVID and its possible connections to the Wuhan Institute. Judicial Watch’s FOIA lawsuits could be the key to unraveling the truth about COVID and the Wuhan Institute."
